Independent Schools Employment is a service provided by the Association of Independent Schools of Victoria Incorporated ('AISV').

 

Persons visiting Independent Schools Employment at http://www.independentschools.com.au ('the site'), obtaining information from the site and/or placing information on the site ('users') should read the following terms and conditions before proceeding.

 

Agree to Terms and Conditions of Use

By accessing Independent Schools Employment, placing any images, text or other data ('material' or 'information') on the site and/or using any of this site's features, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to be bound by the following terms and conditions that apply to all use of this site.

·          If there is any deficiency or inaccuracy in the site attributable to maintenance or design of Independent Schools Employment;

·          If there is a failure of any communications facilitated by the site to reach their intended destination;

·          If material placed on Independent Schools Employment by a user is removed;

·          In relation to a notice or job seeker profile not appearing on the site or not appearing according to instructions; or

·          In respect to services supplied by Independent Schools Employment under these terms and conditions.

The operators of Independent Schools Employment collect personal information via an online collection process from users of the site in order to set up an account for those users. Personal information may be disclosed to Victorian independent school employers insofar as it facilitates the employment of staff in Victorian independent schools. The NPPs require stricter management of the collection and handling of sensitive information, such as a person’s racial or ethnic origin, religion, membership of political bodies or trade unions, sexual preferences or activities, criminal record, state of health and medical history. The site does not ask users to provide this information and users of the site are strongly encouraged not to provide this information in any material posted on the site.

 

The operators of the site have taken reasonable steps to protect the personal information held from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Employees of the operators of Independent Schools Employment are informed about their requirements under the Act and any breach of the obligations of the NPPs will result in appropriate action being taken.
